The reason its hard for Singaporeans to excel in sports and music is because of their parents.
E.G
Child: Mummy, Daddy, i wanna take up ABC(watever) course/lesson.
Parents: Boy/Girl, listen to us. Ur studies is the most important. These course(s) are useless.
U think u will have a future if u play/learn ABC(sports) or XYZ(music)?

The child might feel demoralised and dejected.
Reality of parents mindset in SG.
Am not saying every parents are like that.
Its just my personal thoughts.

If only parents can really really understand their child's mindset...


These children are still young,
Its time to make mistake, Not to play it very very safe,
They make mistake, they learn from it.
At least they are still young, they have ample time to learn.
Rather than wait till when they can't afford to make mistakes...

Damn this mindset of some parents..

Lastly,
Would u rather be smart in ur studies or street smart?
Would be good to be both, but if really have to choose,

Would choose:
Street smart
